The Key Stage 1 team (Years 1 and 2) are organised into mixed-aged classes. The setting uses Read, Write Inc (Phonics) to support the phonological development of the children in Key Stage 1, and Numicon materials and resources to support the mathematical skills. The White Rose materials are also used to support the development of Reasoning and Problem Solving skills. The Rising Stars online reading platform is also used to help children read remotely, with a structured, progressive reading programme of online texts.
